Westport DamaskThere’s a kind of floral that doesn’t shout springtime or chase trends. Instead, it stands quietly in the background of a well-loved home, adding a softness to the structure and a story to the space. Westport Damask is that floral.
Inspired by traditional Indian block prints but grounded in the heritage blooms of the New England coastline, Westport Damask is a painterly take on the classic damask. Its soft hydrangea shapes are arranged with a sense of order and ease, pulled together in a hand-drawn layout that feels at once historic and completely fresh.
And for me, it’s more than pattern. It’s a reflection of place.
Growing up, I spent weekends in Westport—sailing at our yacht club or wandering Main Street with my best friend, whose parents owned a jewelry shop in town. We’d pop into shops, laugh until we cried, and every so often catch a glimpse of someone famous—an actor or actress casually shopping like everyone else. Once in a while, my friend’s parents would even introduce us. It was magic.
The town was a blend of everyday charm and unexpected beauty. That’s exactly what I wanted Westport Damask to feel like: elevated, storied, but completely approachable.
It’s printed on high-end wallpaper (in the USA!) and will launch with coordinating linen upholstery. Woven fabrics will follow shortly after. And it’s available in this deep, classic coastal blue—a color that adds elegance without ever feeling cold.
Design Tip:
Use Westport Damask where you want structure and softness in the same breath. It’s beautiful in a dining room above a chair rail, in a formal powder room, or in a bedroom as a statement wall. It gives order without feeling rigid, and character without chaos.
Antique Tip:
Pair with painted furniture in warm whites or French gray. It’s also lovely beside mahogany or walnut with just a touch of age. Think: scalloped-edge mirrors, a pie crust side table, or an heirloom armoire. This pattern plays well with pieces that have their own quiet history.
Paint Pairing Suggestions:
To complement the deep blue and creamy florals:
Farrow & Ball “Pavilion Gray” – a soft, warm neutral with just enough depth
Benjamin Moore “Classic Gray” – subtle and elegant for walls or trim
Sherwin-Williams “Naval” – for a bold match or built-in cabinetry
If you’re looking for a wallpaper that feels collected, classic, and quietly coastal—Westport Damask was made with you in mind.
Because the right pattern doesn’t just decorate a room—it becomes part of your story.
